Letty Calderon
DHH Guide Coordinator

Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Letty is a proud Deaf mom of Lucas, 10, who is hard of hearing. Lucas is a creative young kid! He loves to draw, plays a variety of sports, and is a movie buff just like his mom.
Growing up with a Deaf sister, Letty was faced with many challenges, but with her parents' support, encouragement, and guidance, she is fortunate to be where she is today. Letty graduated with a bachelor's degree in Biology from Gallaudet University, the only liberal arts University for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, in Washington, D.C.. She also has a master's in Social Work. Letty has always loved helping others, especially DHH children and their families. Those experiences led her to her career as a social worker, counselor, parent advisor and now Deaf/Hard of Hearing Guide Coordinator. She has worked in a variety of settings: hospital, residential and mainstream schools. Before relocating to Las Vegas, she worked at Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind for 10 years. It is her passion to share her knowledge and provide support to DHH children and their families.
