Galen Broderick
Treasurer

I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada, and I am also a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno. I have two children, one of whom is deaf. I have been working in public accounting for over ten years where I’ve worked on many audits, tax returns and consulting projects. My plans have always included more involvement in the not-for-profit world and when my daughter was born in 2015 and diagnosed with hearing loss, Nevada Hands & Voices became the perfect opportunity for me to lend my skills to an organization.
What are the values that drive you: I strive for equitable access for all people in all aspects of life. Currently that focus is on education and access to services. If we lift people up and allow them the opportunity for success, not only is the individual best served, but so is the community around them.
What do you like about working at NVHV: Nevada Hands & Voices is made up of parents and professionals who are passionate about their children and the children they serve. This enthusiasm and passion is sincerely felt and brings hope for change in Nevada.
What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position: I am a CPA with a background in audits of not-for-profits along with the accompanying tax preparation.
