What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position: I have been on this journey for a few years now and I understand the ups and downs, the wins and losses. I know the advocacy struggle and have started down the IEP road as well. I understand as an advocate, a mom, a friend. I have dealt with hearing aids and CI's. I have worked with SLP's, DS's, and doctors other professionals in regards to DHH.
What are the values that drive you: Honesty and treating others how I want to be treated. Doing for others and not expecting anything in return. Being there for family and friends.
The best piece of advice I've ever been given: "Don't be so sensitive or let it get to you, because then they win." My parents always taught me not to be so sensitive and not to worry about what others think or say about me.
