Jennifer Magno
DHH Guide
Jennifer was diagnosed with a progressive hearing loss at the age of five. Within two years of her diagnosis, she became profoundly deaf and has used cochlear implants to hear ever since. She is a second-year undergraduate student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas studying kinesiology and plans to pursue a career in physical therapy, while also continuing to be involved in the DHH community. Jennifer has two younger siblings, Angelica (17) and EJ (15), and all three of them are deaf. They are raised by their wonderful and supportive parents, Nameer and Edwin. Jennifer has been involved and attended many events held by DHH organizations, including Nevada Hands & Voices, and she joined the team as a DHH Guide in 2021. As a DHH Guide, she hopes to guide families through their journeys the same way others supported her growing up.
