Erin and her wonderful husband live in Reno, Nevada with their two children, Kylan (16), and Lucie (10).  Their daughter Lucie was born Deaf.  Following Lucie’s diagnosis, Erin and her husband did everything they could to educate themselves regarding hearing loss and communication which allowed them to support their daughter in all she needed.  After volunteering for NV Hands & Voices for several years, Erin became a Parent Guide in 2017 and a ASTRa Advocate in 2019.   Erin has been involved with several community partners, professionals, and the school district in Reno to help educate Nevada’s residents about the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.  She also works with several rural communities to help bring training and resources to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing children and their families.   In 2022 she completed the National Leadership-to-Leadership Program.   Erin also works as an Audiology Assistant at Swank Family Hearing in Reno.
