What is astra?

ASTra: Advocacy, Support & Training, is a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Educational Advocacy Program that embodies the mission and vision of Hands & Voices, which is “to provide support to families with children who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing without a bias around communication mode, method, and educational setting so that every child who is DHH has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.”

The Nevada Hands & Voices ASTra program believes empowered families learn to advocate effectively and independently! We understand that each child is an individual and provide support to meet the unique needs that are appropriate for each child.
