Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Candace is a proud mother of two amazing boys and one precious girl. Her oldest son, Ethan, was born with a hearing difference and is now 13 years old. His journey opened the door to a lifelong passion for advocacy, support, and education within the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. In her early professional years, Candace worked with Nevada Hands & Voices as a Parent Guide and ASTra Program Coordinator, providing families with the tools and support they needed to navigate their own paths. After stepping away to focus on other endeavors, she went on to earn a Master’s degree in Special Education and spent several years teaching in a resource classroom, an experience that deepened her understanding of inclusion, accessibility, and individualized support. Now, with a toddler at home, she is embracing a new season: working in a meaningful role that allows her to continue sharing her journey as a parent of a Deaf/Hard of Hearing child. When she is not working or spending time with her children, she loves traveling, watching hockey, trying new restaurants, enjoying spa days, and doing her part to give back to the Las Vegas community she calls home.
